Fayetteville’s
Huntington Learning Center is offering a FREE SAT Diagnostic exam
for seniors THIS SATURDAY – January 29, 2011 starting at 2 pm.
The
diagnostic exam determines your SAT strengths and weaknesses then
creates a customized study guide for you based on those strengths
and weaknesses to help you prepare for test. Best of all, the test
is realistic but not as long as the actual SAT, meaning that the
diagnosis will not be too time-consuming.
Huntington
Learning Center has given CFHS 10 scholarships valued over $75 for
this exam. It is meant for students who are registered to take the
exam in the upcoming months (so – not for students who do not plan
to take the exam anymore).
Mrs. Ross in guidance
will be given these out on a first come first serve basis. You MUST
be able to go to Fayetteville’s Huntington Learning Center THIS
SATURDAY – January 29, 2011 starting at 2 pm. You must also show me
verification that you are registered to take the SAT in the upcoming
months … we can do this in guidance by pulling up your CollegeBoard
account.
For more
information on this exam you can contact Yong Ahn at Huntington
Learning Center by calling 910.323.2287.

The Washington Monthly
College Guide and Rankings - unlike U.S. News and World Report
and similar guides, asks not what colleges can do for you, but what
colleges are doing for the country. Are they educating low-income
students, or just catering to the affluent? Are they improving the
quality of their teaching, or ducking accountability for it? Are
they trying to become more productive—and if so, why is average tuition
rising faster than health care costs? Every year we lavish
billions of tax dollars and other public benefits on institutions of
higher learning. T his guide asks: Are we getting the most for our
money? |
