NCVPS
does not provide online instruction for students.
Assignments
are posted on the course site by an instructor.
Students
will communicate with the instructor via e-mail and by phone.
It
is HIGHLY recommended that you have a computer AT HOME with HIGH
SPEED Internet.
Success rate for students who do not have a computer at
home with high speed Internet is extremely low.
NCVPS
is not for everyone.
You should be academically motivated, proficient in written
communication, responsible and computer savvy.
Students must be able to work independently, be well
organized, and be able to meet all deadlines for assignments.
Additionally
it is recommended that the student seek outside tutoring if it is
indicated.
It
is the student’s responsibility to contact their school
counselor if there are issues or problems with the online course
that the instructor is unable or willing to address.
Please
expect to spend an average of 12 hours per week on the NCVPS
course.
Online
classes are not independent study courses: you are still required
to participate actively in online discussions and group
assignments. You
need to log in each day to keep up with the content flow, complete
assignments, follow discussions and communicate with your
classmates and teacher. |
